Career Start

In order to connect the student members directly with the automotive industry, SAEINDIA has been conducting an off-campus graduate recruitment program called SAEINDIA Career Start. This is a process of providing a great opportunity to identify/select young, dynamic and bright automotive brains.

OBJECTIVE OF BAJA

The objective of the competition is to provide SAE student members with a challenging project that involves design, engineering, planning, manufacturing and marketing the tasks found when introducing a new product to the consumer industrial market. Teams compete against one another to have their design accepted for manufacture by a fictitious firm. Students must function as a team not only to design, build, test, promote, and race a vehicle within the limits of the rules, but also to generate financial support for their project and manage their educational priorities. Each team’s goal is to design and build a prototype of a rugged single seat, off-road recreational four-wheel vehicle intended for sale to the non-professional, weekend off-road enthusiast. The competition goals include that the vehicle must be safe, easily transported, easily maintained and fun to drive. It should be able to negotiate rough terrain in all types of weather without damage.

Objective Of SAE India

Provide Indian students with a standard platform to showcase their talent and potential not only in terms of design and engineering, but also their capability for team-work, entrepreneurial skills and management.

  • Inculcate adventure and international exposure to Indian students.

  • Save participating expenses for Indian students.

  • Boost Brand Image for SAEINDIA.

  • Sponsor at-least the best team to participate abroad.

Objective For Student

Any SAE Student Member Team studying in undergraduate engineering college of India, with age above 18 years and having permanent driving licence can participate (Not more than one team per college).

Each team's goal will be to design and build a prototype of a rugged, single seat, off-road recreational vehicle intended for sale to the non-professional, weekend off-road enthusiast.

The students are assigned the task of designing, building, testing, promoting and racing an off road vehicle, that will withstand the rigours of a rough terrain. The underlying purpose of the event is to provide SAE student members with challenges that reflect the steps involved in the entire process from design and engineering to production and marketing.

The vehicle must be safe, easily transported, easily maintained and fun to drive. It should be able to negotiate rough terrain in all types of weather without damage.

 SUPRA SAE INDIA

SAEINDIA is pleased to organize, SUPRA SAEINDIA 2011 Event from 1st to 3rdJuly 2011 in Chennai, followed by HR Meet on 4th July 2011, for the students of the Engineering Institutes all over India. This event provides a real world engineering challenge for the SAEINDIA Student members that reflects the steps involved in the entire process from design and engineering to production to marketing and endurance

The SUPRA SAEINDIA 2011 is a forthcoming competition which presents the Under Graduate & Post Graduate Engineering Students the task of designing , modeling and fabricating a formula type racing car.

The concept behind SUPRA SAEINDIA 2011 is that a fictional manufacturing company has contacted a design team to develop a small Formula style race car. The prototype is to be evaluated for its potential as a racing car.

The target marketing group for the race car is the nonprofessional weekend autocross racer. Each team designs and produces a prototype based on well laid down rules & regulations.

The project fuels the exuberance of the youth by providing teams a platform to test their mettle, giving them a pragmatic exposure to real world challenges as faced in the industry. Students realize their talent through such an experience, making them proven candidates for the future as technocrats, entrepreneurs, designers, innovators and leaders.

This helps the objective of bringing out student talent to serve the nation for the years to come, in fulfillment of the Automotive Mission Plan (AMP2016) a dream to make India an International Automotive Hub. This SUPRA SAEINDIA 2011 scheduled from 1st July to 3rd July 2011 would be a high adrenalin event. We invite you to come and kindle your innovative ideas and creativity to experience engineering at its best.
